Imaging

Imaging rang me on Tuesday at 5pm. Your scan for tomorrow is cancelled. You don’t need it.

Scan on 13th you do need.

No you don’t

I rang Imaging on account of 20 messages onERIC . After waiting 50 minutes on the call queue a lady answered. Ah she said ring nephrology. Ask them why they want you to have so many scans.

Nephrology wouldn’t answer phone. I emailed. Two days later there was a reply. Ring imaging. FFS.

So now I have a CT scan alternate Wednesdays in October. I also have an MRI on the other Wednesday every fortnight in October. I have 20 letters via first class post to book cancel and rebook those.

Friday. 5 pm. I missed a call on my mobile. Weirdly I do not sit staring at phone all day. It was ‘ No caller id ‘. I picked up the message at 17:05. It said this is a nurse from your hospital. I need to speak to you urgently. I’ll try again on Monday.

FFS. Can’t they leave a number to call or say who they are where they are or RING AGAIN?

Am I bovvered? Should I be? Well let’s see what Monday brings.

Breaking news. Saturday.today. First class post letter today. Another scan on Saturday 23rd. What?! If I don’t turn up it’ll cost the NHS £133. If I do turn up the number of stamps. Unused train tickets. Phone calls. Emails. And all the rest will cost considerably more. This is nuts.

    • It’s such a stupid waste of NHS time money resources stamps. Let alone the patient clearing diaries every week. It’s bonkers. Then they have the audacity to say how wonderful their paperless software stupid software is.
Meanwhile I took Dad to hospital for an ultrasound on his neck. Absolutely no idea why. His bladder and bowel issues are one thing his neck is absolutely fine!!
