A short update
A year since MRI and after various ridiculous attempts at an explanation was at UCLH WMS urology appointment today.
Yeah again clinic was running over an hour late.
They probably didn’t realise because their clock is an hour behind!

Appointment was 15;00
And yet again a poor registrar asking ridiculous questions and telling me my left ureter is the stump. It’s not – it’s the right. I managed to avoid her telling g me I’d lost a kidney ( careless)this time! .
Eventually I gave up and asked to see Dipstick. I was left in the clinic room for ages and eventually he walked in. God he’s aged poor bugger.
Needless to say it did not go well. He told me I have a valve on my right ureter which stops infection. No I don’t actually after two revision surgeries there is no valve. He had the decency to agree.
I told him about the Prof in Reading he just laughed and dismissed the ideas.
I persuaded him to prescribe some off label gent and other stuff called iauril I think that’s the stuff dunno. He ain’t know either. . His registrar said no. Dippy and I said yes. It has to go via MDT the reg petulantly spoke out – great we both said. We don’t care. Dip said look I’m a surgeon I do operations. Yes , I said but you are a urological surgeon and you HAVE operated , so now I need some support. One day maybe that might happen – it won’t.
Dippy even asked if I knew who conducted his MDT. How the F would I know that?
I diverted his attention by mentioning his poor recruiting for a clinical trial I’m a rep on. He said could I send him the figures. What? me ?
Give up totally give up.
Meanwhile just to add to the news saw the MaxFax Surgeon last week. He needs to operate to get the plates out due to infection and plates protruding through gum. FFS.
Nothing will happen for ages.
