Glass half full

Another week another month and NHS-land and not a lot happening

Monday the senior partner at our GP surgery emailed in response to my request for more antibiotics as per clinic letter from Barts Hospital consultant. Several weeks ago. She apologised yes actually apologised and offered to send corrected script to chemist. Amazing ! By Friday I had them. Why rush?

Tuesday yet another cancelled appointment which was perfect. That was for the old broken foot injury. Conservative treatment going well. I really do not want any consultant telling me he can fix a bit of surgery.

Wednesday strength and conditioning- aka London. Tube strike. Moving son2 and his family to their new house and sorting some wedmin as in dress for daughter 2. Antibiotic cocktails home remedies somehow got me through to the end of the week. Nitro. Gent. Uromune vaccine. Doxycycline. Biologics. Combined seem quite helpful. Because contrary to belief patients do actually have a life. No shit Sherlock.

Next week, unless it gets cancelled is ultrasound. Well let’s see.

Then not only is the King meeting Americans. But so am I. Not at all comparable but …..Top secret. Prototype of a new implant. I’d have to kill you if I told you where and what.

Nothing from Dipstick. We are heading close to a year since MRI no MDT no follow up. I give up. Pointless.

Nothing from Mr Nephrology who has been contacted by GP pharmacist trainee who requested advice. None forthcoming. Oh well. No news must be good news.

Mr Maxfax Surgeon got all discombobulated about whether I needed plasma injection for numb chin. Need a CT apparently to check his pins and plates are not impeding nerves. Has that happened? Of course not. I have no intention of chasing that either.

Cynicism or experience? I’m always glass half full optimist supreme.
