In other news….

Not so crazy a week.

Extracted my mum from hospital. She’s doing really well. District nurses visit every day. Falls nurse frailty nurse oncology team… all are due.. I think.

I was duty shower lady early morning drives over. An extraordinary privilege to join my parents at their most vulnerable.. and share a lot of laughs.

Meanwhile I had a call from ‘unknown ‘ of London NHS Urology hospital. I was informed my urgent appointment with the specialist bladder implant (SNS) nurse was ‘overbooked’. She was postponing my appointment. Could not tell me when for. I would ‘get a letter’. Of course I have no letter. shit. Bollocks. Arghhh. I do have a burbling bladder infection, no culture result back and chewing antibiotics, I guess that is just how it is.

I made it to a chest xray and respiratory consultant appointment. This was the follow up to a previous xray on which the radiology report expressed concern over a right lung weird thing.

So the new xray showed…. A right lung weird thing.. again.

Lovely consultant wearing a very expensive embroidered shirt. It caught my eye because my brother had one once. Eye watering cost. Anyhow, distracting as his shirt was. He prescribed more steroids. He said the right lung weird thing, was……..

weird.

Pretty

He would request radiology report. Probably nothing. Maybe need a CT. FFS could we not have done that before?

Now, this man is really nice lovely but errr.. Am I supposed to not worry…?

With my record of erring on the wrong side of the 1 :99 ratio of disaster. Arghhh.

Meanwhile of course we have Boris. What an astonishing result. So whatever happens next, will be decisive. Which is what we wanted. Wasn’t it?

  1. My question for you today is how did you get to see INSIDE the doctor’s shirt to recognise the smart sewing artwork? sounds dodgy to me.
Lets hope weird lung thing behaves, ditto bladder. You don’t want to be ill over Christmas. Well done for making the time and summoning the energy to be there for your parents. Much love and ‘respect’…
