First referral came through. This,for eye problem. Turns out Dad has had a piece of metal in his eye . It has now been removed. No wonder he couldn’t see. The optician is perhaps blind too. I think this started last December. How on earth…what on earth…dunno.

Next referral should be soon. For his hernia…I’ll nudge the GP. again.

.July blog ……..my bizarre parents divulged their medical worries…indeed my Dad’s is obvious! They seemed to think their gp would ring them. Somehow they feel gp cannot be rung. The respect they show for this anonymous doctor includes not disturbing him by actually making an appointment.

With the support of my siblings, urging me on, I made a call to said surgery. In confidence. My phone redial showed 140 redials until I got through. I explained . They understood. Low and behold my parents tell me they have been called. Indeed an appointment was made for Monday first thing. Guess what? Urgent referral to two hospital surgeons for my Dad. I got him there. Of course. Hopefully referral will be soon. Else I will ring again. Argh.
