Somewhere or other I’ve lost November and now it seems to be halfway through Advent.
When did that happen? Truth to tell I’ve shivered and shuddered through infection 1 and infection 2. I’ve been in hospital a fair bit. I’ve seen alot of Three Men in A Boat ie the surgeons who’ve looked after me. Not forgetting Montmerency .. the name, sometime ago we assigned to Avuncular awesome microbiology man. Suprapubic is out. IV antibiotics have blasted. Now we are trying a bit of immune boost. And hope. As Jerome might say: ‘ Hoping is always good’. Hospital team was brilliant. Even had a visit from head chef for feedback. ‘Toast ‘I said. ‘Too floppy’ I said. ‘How about a toastrack, dry it out a bit?. Bloody hell he did it too !!

So onwards and upwards…now for an aside …I’ve oftentimes sat on the London bound train overhearing awfully important ( alphamale mainly, but stiletto toed ladies too! ) commuters talking loudly about incredibly high level sounding contracts that they shout into their mobile phones. Interrupted by the odd tunnel, the person at the other end must surely be feverishly yelling back. Anyhow this article, in today’s paper, by the inspirational Melanie Reid resonates…You will see some good comments at the end. Hey EW we made it into the paper!!
Squashed Bananas

Hope it’s all working now. Not sure what happened.

How funny. I read Melanie reid too, between reading your email and failing to get the link…… and re reading your next one with your kind help and getting the link. Thanks. xxx yes, those plonkers on the train. but it turns out they have a kind heart. Like Normsie, always looking at the positive side and saying she feels so lucky. No self pity. You are the heroes. xxx
