I’ve been bulk cancelled!

The NHS has actually cancelled me! Unbelievable.

Before I get to that, news came to me from the ‘inside’ as in Jerome. The surgeons nurses et al are just as frustrated:

14 hour day done – or at least done enough to bike home soon for 8pm ETA

It’s all too much really! Roll on Independence Day July 4th. Not sure if NHS can recover tho. It’s more at the caretakers than being taken care of.

Not only but also: I wrote to some random email about my many times cancelled face to face appointment re MRI January 2023.

Eventually this was emailed back. This really is the NHS ! I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Actually I just give up.

We are writing to let you know that the Functional, Reconstructive and Adolescent Urology service is moving to a new way of booking outpatient clinic appointments, where all doctor-led clinics are booked 6 weeks in advance.

This is because many appointments booked further in advance of 6 weeks are currently being cancelled, and this creates longer waiting times for all. This change will help us reduce cancellations and improve patient’sexperience.

The clinic appointment you currently have will be cancelled, but this will not affect your place on the waiting list. Our team will contact you about 6 weeks from your appointment due date with your new details.

Please be assured that we have your name on our system and this change will not affect the care you will receive.

Please note that we will begin rebooking appointments from 26th April 2024, so any appointments booked after this will remain.

Kind regards,

Urology Management Team #Bollocks
