Slightly irritated that they assume I hadn’t tried medication. slightly irritated that premenopausal is the immediate assumption. However I still love them and their show!

No idea why prediction types  hysterical instead of hysterectomy. 

I have so much to explain but in short 2009

Hysterectomy 

2023 

Still recovering and have to use a disposable catheter to empty my bladder. 

I have only one kidney having had to have one removed –  I gave it to a stranger. A good kidney but it had lost connection to bladder. 

Why did I agree to a hysterectomy? Because after two years having tried ablation and medication and  more besides,  fibroids meant I flooded bleeding without warning. As a teacher and anyway, somewhat awkward !  

Would I do it again? Mmm. Maybe. 

But. I would insist on INFORMED CONSENT. not Dr Google 

I would insist on a second opinion 

I would request an evidence base stats anything to help me get my head round it and face whatever the co sequences would be . 

I don’t want to upset those for whom it’s been or is about to be a success but it’s important to realise the infamous 6 weeks to recovery is absolute bollocks! 

I will happily talk and even may you laugh. 

I’ve written about it in a book I wrote ( I do maths .. not essays!)
