Discombobulated

What a week. I cannot possibly add to the clever words and quotes relating to the appointment of the new PM. Nor can I add more to amazing tributes, but it goes without saying, how sad we all are at the passing of HRH. May she rest in peace. It was so recently we did the Jubilee bit. It’s not easy to forget past deaths, funerals and associations that come to mind at this time. We are all a bit discombobulated. My eldest grandson who is 4 explained it to me. Gaggs, ( he calls me) Remember that the Queen is dead? Now she can look after Chui ( our old lab) in heaven. She likes dogs. When they pee in heaven it rains. King George(?!) is the king . Please can we go to Thomas Track play.

Onwards we go!

As for medical mess that’s totally discombobulated, I’ve no idea where we are. NHS sent me a text saying my latest test results needed no further action. Which test? When? What?

Some random man called Michael rang me from the hospital. He rambled on and eventually said Dipstick will talk to Clinical Nurse JJ next Friday. Not this week next week. ‘Your case is complicated’! That’s hilarious the MRI was April. JJ had promised me a call two weeks after my June appointment , to sort out my misfiring bladder stimulator- SNS. Dipstick, as is widely publicised on social media, is currently in Italy on a bike ride for charity. I’m tempted to ask some of his companions ( who are posting messages) to ask him if he could possibly speed up, make up his mind and tell me a plan. Please not to fall off his bike as that would surely delay things further. ERIC ERNIE or whatever the IT system is called, shows an MRI was booked for 26th Sept. but swiftly cancelled!. Managing expectations could be key to progress. Next appointment March 2023 no rush.

But for now. Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth. Good luck in the coming days to the new cabinet, new King, and all those civil servants who must be dashing about telling everyone what’s what, when, how and where. Must be a logistical nightmare.
