The Plague

The plague or covid continues. Still testing positive which doesn’t seem to mean much in the confusion of NHS advice. Isolate for 5 days or until negative. So does that mean ok to open the front door after five days or keep testing? Who knows!

I’m ok just coughing asthmatics but nice pa to nice Mr Respiratory has me on her speed dial. Checking. Updating. Changing meds. I’m so very fortunate.

Meanwhile Dipstick rang. Actually he rang Daniel who gave him my number. How the hell he had Daniel’s number I do not know.

He explained about his own covid and how he bravely worked thRough it. Let’s hope the patients were immune! Then he was surprised no one had sorted the SNS ( sacral nerve stimulator ). He said he’d geT someone to contAct me before 2023. He further explained that he just operates to put them in and take them out. He can’t be doing the after wards stuff. Reassuring. Not. Like a pilot just flies his plane, not getting involved in luggage or meals or drinks or passengers. Except the good ones have been known to load the luggage themselves just to speed up the disembarking. Walking through the cabin to check everyone is ok Mmm just saying.

Dip also explained that he had put me forward for MDT decision about the remains of the right ureter and boari ( flap made from bladder). Actually I already knew about this. From others! Seeing as he was one of the surgeons who had supposedly removed it, it’s a bit strange that he now says he might be an infection source. The MDT has suggested another MRI and a flush thing. he generously offered to put me on the waiting list. What am I not on it? Well no. Not yet. MRI WAS IN APRIL FFS.

Anyhow he says he will put me on the list. And it’s apparently 18 months waiting at present.

Needless to say I’ve heard nothing about the SNS. nor the waiting list for MRI etc. roll on 2025!

But watching the CWG is brilliant swimming netball hockey running jumping. Great weather. How do they do those dives though?

  1. This is not really ‘good enough’ and despite your not complaining it’s pretty d*** awful.
Every so often, all too rarely, you are well looked after; but all this waiting can’t be good for your body, your nerves or you mind. I feel for you. xxx it should not happen , and ir=t certainly should not happen so often. Grrr.
