Well there we were celebrating the fact we had survived the covid. And non covid.

All four of our children arrived with partners and children and dogs to do an early mini Christmas at home. Everyone had done lateral flows. LFT. Some of us did PCR too. Everyone has triple vaccine.

Day 1 was epic.

Day 2 BFG felt ill. Did a nose tickler LFT. result positive. He and his partner J left immediately to isolate in London

Day 3 toddler H was not well and by morning the Scottish left to isolate in the borders. Everyone else left to take cover fast.

That left Daniel and I to tidy up, antibacterial everywhere, change all the beds and tickle test daily.

So far the Scottish are all covid positive. Scottish law says they must all isolate for 10 days. Due to delayed symptoms that means they must isolate for 15 days. England says on the pcr person isolates. So most of the Londoners who are not positive can still go to work. Bedfordshire family negative so far. But it’s only a matter of time.

Christmas what Christmas?. Unlikely to happen in any known form.

Meanwhile for me the coughing of pneumonia is continuing. UTI has returned. Phone consultation with Consultant was awful. She sounded ill. Her whole admin team have covid. Most of her clinical team too. She would like me to get iv at home she can normally do that. But there is no one there to put the line in. Could I do my home medication? Well if we could get hold of a GP Icould. As if.

Meanwhile spinal implant will not charge. I have managed to email the pain team. They are sending out a new charger. It has not arrived. Yet.

It’s all crap. Everyone seems to have covid, to be isolating for covid or to be about to.
