Hurrah. January is done. Now to February. We can do this team. Oh yes we can.

Vaccines seem to be a success story for the UK which hides the not so successful stories of this indecisive leadership.

My gratitude to NHS Allergy Team for making sure I was safe and well on Tuesday ( Vaccine Day ‘ not bad for 90’) . No ill effects afterwards and that, as one of my daughters giggled. ‘ is a miracle in itself’!

GP land has been on the phone every day this week. I had to try to sort out my parents’ issues and in summary my mother has had a bad stomach upset and my father has swollen ankles to the point of not being able to stumble more than a few steps. The illogical Queen of all Rotweillers at their surgery had them, so then me, getting my father to take a stool sample in and my mother to see the oedema nurse. I think that is the wrong way round! Have they mixed up the patients?

My own, Saintly GP rang one evening. He said he had been meaning to text me to see how the latest meds were going but then realised I had an appointment. Well that makes two of us I said. I had no idea I had one either. We chatted about this and that. He was under pressure on call, visiting patient at home who should be in hospital but was a carer and and and…. Alot of strain on the whole system. We talked about the vaccine roll out, he was delighted that I had had mine. Actually I think he was really delighted that the cumbersome NHS IT system had already updated my record. Excel spreadsheets ? Rows? Columns? seems they have improved on their past performance. I asked him about my parents. He was as perplexed as I at the pathway they are on!

Hello February . Hopefully I will get an msu result to work on this week. Burbling bladder complaining.

Hope those R numbers go down. Daughter 2 having a really stressy week in Covid ward 9. It is exhausting and relentless, Please let things get better.

Let’s hope this miserable rain goes to snow…much more fun.
