I think I last wrote of hospital flu and antibiotics antivirals and oxygen and and and…
Well today I ventured forth for the first time .. Into London for the first time since we were all ill. I was off to a patient Representative group meeting . Whilst on my train I had cause to retell my story of falling in a lake. Fully clothed. Just 2 ish years ago. Not any lake. It was the Kitzbühel . European aTriathalon Championships. I’ll find the story and link it!

Anyhow, I paused at the desk of Rottweiler gp, on my way to the station . Without a murmur she surrendered my last test result. Albeit 7 days old at least I knew what antibiotics were needed.
By complete serendipity Jerome was very near the meeting. A couple of texts and he fixed the script. Arranged to pick it up. We caught up briefly , our quest to change the world, climb mountains, even wrong mountains**. Then off I went through his waiting room. As I announced: We’ve had another baby! And scuttled off to the lift! The patients gathered there looked at us in complete bewilderment.
Well indeed we have. Daughter 1 , so ill just a week ago has been safely delivered of baby #2. So we are grandparents once more. It’s bloody brilliant fun. I’m doing meals on wheels and toddlertaming which only involves finding new batteries for trains and remote control cars. I’m loving it. Everyone still coughing but smiling through.
*In my defence the waiting room was empty when Id gone in.
** On the recommendation of my friend Claire, I acquired a copy of Rum Doodle for myself and indeed for Jerome in keeping with the annual JKJ tradition. And I quote:

…in due course, came the message: ‘Batteries not yet installed. Are packed in one of the loads, but Burley does not know which one. Send down champagne.’

But you don’t mention the sex if the baby or have I missed a trick
Congrats and hurrah
Glad you re better and planning a trip to China xxx
