I read a letter from a big group of pain specialists….one of whom I know well.
It was in the Times on 1st August.
So I replied…and my letter was edited but printed. I’m thinking what to do next. Ridiculous rules made up by ignorant fools. What can be done?

Subject: PAIN RELIEF CONCERN
Dear Sir,
Thank-you to all the signatories to the letter ‘pain relief control’.Times 1August 2018
I have used these patches for years. They are hospital prescribed. They allow me to drive, work and walk.
My gp now tells me I am not allowed them. With all due respect how on earth is it possible that the RCGP can override the opinion of the eminent hospital consultants many of whom wrote to the Times?
These plasters are low cost, minimal side effect solutions, to certain types of chronic pain, specifically identified by experts in pain management. Without such minimally invasive treatments day to day life is impossible.
To whom should I write to try to reverse this decision?
