I’ve found out where NHS receptionists are trained.

I had a meeting in the bowels of NHS headquarters.

It was all a bit tense. I took a little longer than necessary to find the loos. I needed a break from the hot airless room. No refreshments provided. They never are . Despite the distances the board members travel. NHS austerity not even water.

So I found the staff canteen. Tried to buy a bottle of water. The lady at the till barked at me when I tentatively asked for a COLD water.

She then snapped and snarled at me for fumbling with my credit card. Yes it was expensive water! We don’t take American Express she yelled. Well that was good as I did not have Amex. Does anyone?

She then snarled at some staff who seemed to want credit .

She would do really well at our surgery desk!

Meanwhile lots of snapping and snarling at the trains. As in there are none! There was a near riot at our station this morning. Signal failure and ticket machine failure. Not fun.
