Next chapter to the Nurse with the power. … see previous entry
Of course she never did ring with the msu result.
I did ring the number on my letter and left a message.
No response.
I did ring PALS ten days later still with a uti and no results.
No response.
Hilarious exchange with my GP last week:
GP: Has the hospital rung you?
Me: No
GP: Well they have just sent an emergency fax saying you have a uti
Me: Do Fax machines still exist? and yes I had a uti over 2 weeks ago.
GP: Thought you might say that!
Fast forward to today: I am at work. State schools not yet finished and I am team teaching a teachers CPD programme for Computing.
I get home late and find I have no less than 7 missed calls from ‘unknown’
The messages are more or less the same. This is the nurse ( the Power one I met at the clinic) ‘I have been on holiday’ and have not sent you your msu results…from your consultation….
You have a uti
I will keep ringing you til 5.00 when I go home.
You cannot leave a message on my phone.’
So….hwhat on earth do people do who are trying to work and don’t get to phones until at least 5 or 6 or 7 or even later….’unkown’ on phone, no number to call back, no results just bollocks stupid messages clogging up phone…
What’s the point of ringing 3 weeks after the event…what was I meant to do in the meantime…effing stupid power crazed gum chewing rubbish.
PS I still have a uti…
Stupid bloody system what POWER.
As f
or the Tower, I tried to finish a bottle of water at the House of Commons last week. Carried it to the corridor outside the committee room the Continence Committee had just vacated. It was a really hot day. One kidney does not cope so well on those days. Some pompous uniform with POWER strutted and tutted and said water could only be drunk in the room, bottles could not be removed and he grabbed it from meas I stood in the Corridors of power….hah…maybe I will end up in the Tower…do visit. Bring gin…or water.

this is utterly terrible. trust you to make it into a joke. Black humour it is and utterly shameful… not amused by the way you are being treated. Did I say b’treated’ ? untreated more likely, I’m avoiding that ghastly word abused…and all its connotations.
