A quick update in August we will have been married 30 years!
Hog roast last night with close friends family colleagues and a singing waiter.to mark the upcoming occasion
My 80 year old parents were on fine form singing Italian too.
My brother flew in from Canada and spoke so brilliantly to raise a toast.
D and I had no speech plan – I was banned and he was asked by the children to toast and to thank. never ones to follow instructions we ended up telling the knicker story impromptu ad libs and much hilarity.
It’d be unusual to spend a few days away from hospitals but wonderfully supportive to have surgeon #No1 with us …
not surprisingly in our world nothing is straight forward. … My mother falls in her hotel room and the rest of the night and all today is spent getting her to ambulance hospital and surgery ..arghhh.

Ridiculously good party at the Pavilion full of too many wonderful people to meet all. Loved the moment when Jacq’s mother joined in with the waiter-turned (fantastic!) opera singer, who then acted as if it was all rehearsed – it went so well. Such a shame she had to spend the night in the a&e afterwards. Food was AMAZING, speeches hilarious. How could anyone expect Jacq to keep quiet? Any why would they want to?? Put her on stage!!
