So back from Cornwall and only a broken…

So back from Cornwall and only a broken toe to prove it. But seriously it was brill.
Now to finish off what I started: Hoping to see MP this week to get him going on the ITSPERSONAL CAMPAIGN. We need to get 20 MPs to sign up to get the bill going for November Parliamentary debate. Reckon we can.
Great news is that Melanie Reid Times columnist who has been in touch via a mutual friend has kindly agreed to support the campaign. That is great because a) she is awesome and very much a catheter user. b) she has a media presence c) she is so humble so grounded in common sense and her husband seems to have shades of mine …. for example his adherence to reading instructions for cooking. Microwave meal..stand for one minute…so he did stand staring at it for a full one minute! of course.

NHS England are gearing up for a meeting with the Director of Children’s services to tell him to stop CCGs removing specialist nurses. So continence issues for children are not dealt with in the community. They are going to the hospitals. So CCGs save money. Hospitals spend more. This is nuts. Poor kids do not need hospital they need help. Now. In the community. frrr.
Doctors are working their proverbial…off so need a break here.

Saw P and B. He is retired from NHS now but still working on his Devices for Independent Living. Turns out he knows of course, through all his UCL and engineering background, AC who is the chair of the BBF which I am now a Trustee for. Whoop. The brain buzzes with ideas for how we can make this better. He is cool. B now down to 3 days a week palliative care. Bet she is fantastic. Effing bad news is their son W has just had brain surgery. Results next week. We talked and talked and they really are suffering. They know too much. They cannot see that anything positive can possibly be an outcome. They are very very much in my thoughts and prayers.

Off to Eddie tomorrow. Oncologist for her. So we can chew or sip that over and try to think of a giggle.

The panic written paper has been accepted just a few edits.
